Production method:
Cut seaweed, brown seaweed, kelp and other raw materials into thin filaments, soak in dilute acid solution, remove water-soluble ingredients (sodium chloride, potassium chloride, pigment, mannitol, soluble protein, etc.). Then sodium carbonate is added and heated to 40-50 ° C, the algal body breaks up, and a muddy viscous liquid is extracted. Alginate exists mostly in the form of calcium salts in algal bodies. In order to improve the yield, about 20% sodium hydroxide can be added to sodium carbonate. The extracted sodium alginate was diluted with water to 0.008 ~ 0.01Pa. After filtration and bleaching, dilute sulfuric acid is added to precipitate the gel, and the supernatant (including soluble impurities) is removed by centrifugal separation. The collected gel was suspended in methanol, neutralized by adding the calculated amount of sodium carbonate or sodium hydroxide, then the methanol was removed by pressing, and then dried and crushed. The yield is about 15% of the raw seaweed.
