Reaction Conditions:

with (1,1'-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene)palladium(II) dichloride;sodium carbonate in 1,2-dimethoxyethane at 100; for 4 h;Inert atmosphere;

Steps:

3-(1-methyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)benzoic acid (CP_01)

General procedure: To a solution of 4-bromo-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole(161 mg, 1 mmol) in DME (15 mL) and 2N Na2CO3 (5 mL) wasadded 3-carboxyphenylboronic acid (237 mg, 1.5 mmol) and [1,1’-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene]-dichloropalladium(II)(73 mg, 0.1 mmol). The reaction mixture was heated to 100 °C for 4 h under a nitrogenatmosphere. The mixture was cooled, filtered and concentrated to dryness. Theresidue was purified by silica gel chromatography (DCM/MeOH = 20:1) to yieldthe title compound (CP_01, 140 mg, 69%)as a colorless oil.
