Preparation
Take 1kg of dried coltsfoot flower buds and crush them, add 4L petroleum ether (distillation range 60-90°C), soak at room temperature for 5h, ultrasonically extract 3 times, 60min each time, filter the extract, and concentrate to dryness under reduced pressure to obtain 1.31g of extract, namely An extract of coltsfoot flower for asthma treatment.
Therapeutic Function
1. Antitussive effect: coltsfoot flower has antitussive effect, and ether extract has antispasmodic effect on bronchospasm caused by histamine, but the effect Weaker than aminophylline.
2. Expectorant effect: Animal experiments have shown that coltsfoot decoction can promote the increase of respiratory secretions, and has obvious expectorant effect.
