性質
1-ブテンの融点は-185.3°Cで、沸点は-6.3°Cであり、発火点は384°Cです。エタノール、ベンゼン、ジエチルエーテルに溶解します。
反応
1-ブテンは重合しやすく、ポリブテンが生成します。リニアポリエチレンなどの製造原料で、ポリプロピレン樹脂、メチルエチルケトン、エポキシブタンなどの前駆体に使用可能です。
解説
ブチレン，ブチレンともいう．脂肪族不飽和炭化水素，オレフィン族に属する炭素数4の炭化水素の総称．異性体として，1-ブテン，trans-およびcis-2-ブテン，イソブテンがある．石油系炭化水素の分解ガス中に存在し，ブタン異性体とともにB-B留分として取り出される．
用途

構造
1-ブテンは直鎖状のα-アルケンです。示性式はCH3CH2CH=CH2で、密度は0.62g/cm3です。
合成法
原油C4留分の分離によって、1-ブテンと2-ブテンの混合物が得られます。エチレンの二量化では、末端アルケンのみ生成します。蒸留により高純度で精製可能です。

一般的な説明
An easily liquefied colorless gas boiling from 20.7 to 38°F. Insoluble in water. Contact with the unconfined liquid can cause frostbite by evaporative cooling. Any leak can be either liquid or vapor. Can asphyxiate by the displacement of air. Under prolonged exposure to intense heat containers may rupture violently and rocket.

butene may react vigorously with strong oxidizing agents. Easily ignited and burns well in air. Reacts exothermically with reducing agents to release gaseous hydrogen.

Asphyxiant gas. Highly flammable,
flammable limits in air 1.6–9.3% by volume. Dan-
gerous fire and explosion risk.
健康ハザード
May act as an asphyxiant or slight anesthetic at high vapor concentrations. Vapor concentrations are not usually a hazard at room temperature except in enclosed spaces.

Behavior in Fire: Containers may explode in fire. Vapor is heavier than air and may travel long distance to a source of ignition and flash back.
使用用途
反応性に富んだ二重結合があり、石油化学工業では重要な原料です。液化石油ガスとして燃料に使用するほか、第二ブチルアルコール、などの製造原料になるブチルアルコール、エチルメチルケトン、ペンタノールなどの合成原料です。
