| 11-Methoxyschizogalan-14-one Usage And Synthesis |
Description | The bark and roots of Schizozygia caffaeoidea (Boj.) Baill. yield a number of alkaloids which have been examined in detail by Renner and Kernweisz. This base yields colourless crystals from EtOH and has [α]25D + 28.8° (c 1.0, CHCI3). The ultraviolet spectrum in EtOH exhibits absorption maxima at 219, 255 and 295 mil with a shoulder at 300 mil. The structure is based primarily upon the NMR and mass spectral data. | References | Renner, Kernweisz., Experientia, 19,244 (1963) Structure: Renner., Lloydia, 27,406 (1964) |
