Uses | YM-26734 is a derivative of a compound isolated from the fruit of H. amygdaline that competitively inhibits rabbit platelet sPLA2 which is a diverse family of low molecular weight PLA2s with tissue-specific expression patterns and actions. | Biological Activity | Competitive inhibitor of secretory phospholipase A 2 (sPLA 2 ) that exhibits a broad inhibitory profile to several sPLA 2 s (IC 50 values are 0.2, 1, 1, 1 and 3 μ M for sPLA 2 -X, -IIA, -IID, -V and -IIE respectively). Displays minimal activity at sPLA 2 -IIF and no activity at cytosolic PLA 2 , cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase.
