Graphite is a black to gray-black mineral with low hardness (Mohs hardness of 2), which is produced all over the world. Crystal graphite is in the shape of hexagonal plates and flakes, and the aggregate is scaly. Because of its lubricity and conductivity, High temperature resistance, chemical inertness and low thermal expansion and other special properties are widely used in refractory products. Its main types are: refractory bricks and high melting point plastics; crucible brakes, nozzles, etc.; continuous casting powder for brick making; casting cores and Mold coating; protective slag (for steelmaking).
Flake graphite is widely used in refractory materials in the metallurgical industry, pencil leads in the light industry, electrodes in battery technology, and lubrication and sealing materials in the chemical industry. As a functional filler of coatings, it is mainly used for anti-corrosion coatings, fire-resistant coatings and conductive coatings.
