First Aid MeasuresBack to Contents
【Ingestion】

The possible benefit of early removal of some ingested material by cautious gastric lavage must be weighed against potential complications of bleeding or perforation. Activated charcoal activated charcoal binds most toxic agents and can decrease their systemic absorption if administered soon after ingestion. Activated charcoal: administer charcoal as a slurry (240 ml water/30 g charcoal). Usual dose: 25 to 100 g in adults/adolescents.
【Inhalation】

Move patient to fresh air. Monitor for respiratory distress. If cough or difficulty breathing develops, evaluate for respiratory tract irritation, bronchitis, or pneumonitis. Administer oxygen and assist ventilation as required. Treat bronchospasm with beta2 agonist and corticosteroid aerosols.
【Skin】

Remove contaminated clothing. Wash exposed area with soap and water. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention. Launder clothing before reuse.
【Eyes】

Irrigate exposed eyes with copious amounts of tepid water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation, pain, swelling, lacrimation, or photophobia persist, the patient should be seen in a health care facility.
Handling and StorageBack to Contents
【Storage】

Store in a cool, dry location, away from food/feed, fertilizers or seed.
【Handling】

Avoid contact. Adequately decomtaminate all tools and equipment after use. Use protective equipment.
Hazards IdentificationBack to Contents
【Ingestion】

Toxic by ingestion.
【Inhalation】

Harmful if inhaled. Acute or chronic exposure can caush asthmatic reaction or other pulmanary problems.
【Skin】

Irritation. Absorption may be harmful.
【Eyes】

Causes irritation.
Exposure Controls/Personal ProtectionBack to Contents
【Personal Protection】

Chemical splash goggles in compliance with OSHA regulations are advised; however, OSHA regulations also permit other type safety glasses. Whre chemical resistant gloves. To prevent repeated or prolonged skin contact, wear impervious clothing and boots.
【Respirators】

NIOSH/MSHA approved air respirator for pesticide dust when handling spills or leaks or when airborne concentrations exceed recommended limits.
【Poison Class】

Fire Fighting MeasuresBack to Contents
【Fire Fighting】

Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion. Use agent most appropriate to extinguish fire.
Accidental Release MeasuresBack to Contents
【Small spills/leaks】

Shovel/scoop loose material and place in an appropriate container. Avoid dust generation. Stay up wind. Clean residue from exposed surfaces. Use appropriate protective equipment.
Stability and ReactivityBack to Contents
【Stability】

Stable at normal temperatures and pressures.
【Incompatibilities】

Strong oxidizing agents.
