Yield:433-19-2 83 %Spectr.

Reaction Conditions:

with potassium fluoride;tetrakis(acetonitrile)copper(I)tetrafluoroborate in acetonitrile at 20; for 0.333333 h;Inert atmosphere;

Steps:

General procedure for trifluoromethylation of diaryliodoniumsalts
General procedure: An over-dried 50 mL Schlenk tube equipped with a magnetic stir bar was charged with diaryliodonium salt (0.5 mmol,1.0 equiv), CuBF4(MeCN)4 (157.3 mg, 0.5 mmol, 1.0 equiv) and KF (58.1 mg, 1.0 mmol, 2.0 equiv). The seal tube was evacuated and backfilled with N2. Then TMSCF3(296 mL, 2.0 mmol, 4.0 equiv) and MeCN (5.0 mL) were added by syringes. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 25 min. Then the reaction was quenched by H2O and the aqueous layer was extracted with Et2O. The combined organic layers were washed with brine, dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated under reduced vacuum. The resulting residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography to provide the desired product.
