Steps:



General procedure: Step 2: To a stirred solution of nitrile compound 9 (10.14mmol) and NaOH (20.80mmol) in water (20mL), hydroxylamine hydrochloride (11.16mmol) was added. The resulting mixture was heated at 100°C for 3h. After cooling to rt, the precipitated compound was filtered and washed with water and dried under vacuum to afford the title compound 10. Those which did not obtain precipitation, the mixture was diluted with EtOAc and the organic layer was separated. The aqueous layer was further extracted with EtOAc (2x times), the combined organic layers were dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 and then concentrated under reduced pressure to afford the title compound 10
