Steps:

4.1.1. General procedure A:

General procedure: To the solution of various aldehydes (10 mmol), ethyl acetoacetate(22 mmol) and ammonia solution (2 mmol) in the solvent of ethanol (30mL). And the mixture was heated to refluxed for 3 h. After the reaction was completed by TLC detection, it was cooled to room temperature.The mixture was poured into 100 mL of cold water and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layers were combined and washed in brine,dried on Na2SO4, and then concentrated under vacuum. The residue was purified by column chromatography using EtOAc/PE (1:2) gradient togive the product.
