Chemical properties

Sethoxydi is light yellow stain-like liquid with no odor. Bp>90°C/4×10-3Pa, relative density 1.05 (20°C), soluble in various organic solvents such as methanol, octanol, ethyl acetate, hexane, benzene, xylene, etc.. Solubility in water : 25mg/L (pH = 4), 4.7 g / L (pH = 7). The half-life in soil is <1d (15°C).

Uses

Sethoxydi is a selective post-emergence herbicide used to control annual and perennial grass weeds in broad-leaved vegetables, field crops, fruit, ornamentals and indoor applications. Not approved for use in EU countries. Registered for use in the U.S. and Canada.

As a highly selective systemic stem and leaf treating agent, Sethoxydi can be quickly absorbed by the stems and leaves of grass weeds and transmitted to the apical and internode meristems to cause cell division and destruction. It is used for the control of barnyard grass, wild oats, green bristle grass , amur foxtail , crabgrass and eleusine indica etc. on soybeans, cotton, rape, peanuts, potatoes, beets, sunflowers, flax and other crops and orchards, ineffective for broadleaf weeds. If it is used to control the weeds in soybeans and cotton fields, then spray with 10-20mL of 20% emulsifiable concentrate per 100m², or spray with 10-15mL of 12.5% mechanical oil emulsifiable concentrate per 100m².
