[Uses] MST-312 has been used in cell invasion assay using mouse fibroblast cells (NIH-3T3) and in the co-immunoprecipitation experiments in colon fibroblast.
[Definition] ChEBI: N-[3-[[(2,3-dihydroxyphenyl)-oxomethyl]amino]phenyl]-2,3-dihydroxybenzamide is a member of benzamides.
[General Description] A cell-permeable, bis-catechol containing, m-phenylenediamide compound that displays anti-proliferative properties. Acts as a potent, reversible inhibitor of telomerase activity (IC₅₀ = 670 nM, TRAP lysate prepared from U937 cells). Prolonged treatment with MST-312 has been reported to result in telomere shortening and growth arrest in U937 cells. Does not inhibit the activity of Taq DNA polymerase (IC₅₀ >3 μM).
