Hazard Information | Back Directory | [Description]
A synthesis of angustine has recently been reported. Ethyl oxalate is condensed
with 4-methyl-5-vinylinicotinonitrile followed by condensation of the lactone
thus produced with tryptamine. Hydrolysis and then cyclization of the product
yields angustine. | [Definition]
ChEBI: Angustine is a member of beta-carbolines. | [References]
