4-(2-Chloro-9H-purin-6-yl)morpholine is an useful reagent of research interest which has been used in the preparation of purine and pyrazolo[3,?4-?d]?pyrimidine inhibitors of PI3 kinase-?α, such as GDC-0084 (G299800), an inhibitor of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) and mTOR (1,2). Inhibitors of PI3K are useful compounds for developing treatments for brain tumors.
