3-甲基-4-膦酰丁烯酸三乙酯被用于合成有效的昆虫生长调节剂。也用于合成维甲酸。
3-甲基-4-膦酰丁烯酸三乙酯是一种膦酰基丁烯酸衍生物,由于其高功能性,在各种化合物的合成中使用。3-甲基-4-膦酰丁烯酸三乙酯可用于制备用作急性前骨髓球性白血病的(2E,4E,6E,8E)-3,7-二甲基-9-(2,6,6-三甲基-1-环己烯-1-基)壬-2,
4,6,8-四烯酸(通用名:维甲酸)。
在具备温度计和冷却管的3000mL的四口烧瓶中加入440g亚磷酸三乙酯,使用油浴
加热到内温110℃。用100分钟在其中滴加4-溴-3-甲基丁烯酸乙酯/单氯苯溶液1500g(GC纯
度90%)。滴加结束后,在内温110~120℃反应3小时,由此以GC纯度81%得到3-甲基-4-膦酰丁烯酸三乙酯/单氯苯溶液1700g。
