无色油状液体。沸点125-140℃（2.39-2.67kPa）。
用途
有机合成中间体。
生产方法
仲丁基丙二酸二乙酯经皂化、溴化，得到仲丁基溴代丙二酸，将其在130℃回流脱羧，减压蒸馏，得2-溴-3-甲基戊酸。
