Y2 receptor
Peptide YY (PYY) (3-36), human is a Y2 receptor agonist, generated via cleaving the first two amino acids at the N terminus of PYY1-36 by enzyme dipeptidyl peptidase-IV (DPP-IV), and can reduces food intake.
In mice, actinonin significantly prolongs the anorectic effect of PYY 3-36 (50 nmol/kg) and maintains higher PYY 3-36 plasma levels than treatment with PYY 3-36 alone.
