N-Fluorobenzenesulfonamide acts as a reagent in the preparation and evaluation of (trityl)cysteine-based inhibitors of kinesin spindle protein with potent in vivo antitumor activity in lung cancer xenograft models, regioselective metalation of 6-methylpurines in synthesis of fluoromethyl purines and related nucleosides for suicide gene therapy of cancer.
