Occurrence

One of the numerous Lycopodium alkaloids, Iycolucine occurs in Lycopodium lucidulum, being a constituent of the weak base fraction of the extract. It crystallizes from EtOH as colourless needles and gives an ultraviolet spectrum in EtOH consisting of a single absorption maximum at 281 nm.
