Uses

NS 3763 is a selective non-competitive kainate receptor antagonist.

Biological Activity

Selective non-competitive kainate receptor antagonist; displays selectivity for GLU K5 subunit-containing receptors (IC 50 values are 1.6 and > 30 mM for homomeric GLU K5 and GLU K6 receptors respectively). Has minimal activity at AMPA and NMDA receptors (IC 50 >> 30 mM).
