Uses
Fluorescent DOTAP has been used for the preparation of liposomes loaded with gold and verteporfin (VP).
General Description
N-(1-(2,3-dioleoyloxy)propyl)-N,N,N-trimethylammonium (DOTAP) is a cationic lipid, which forms strong complexes with DNA. It aids the cellular delivery of RNA and DNA. DOTAP acts as a transfection agent.
