Uses
C.I. Direct red 16 is a good dyeing agent for cotton fabrics.
Preparation
aniline diazo, in alkaline conditions and 7-Amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-sulfonic acid coupled its product to diazo, in alkaline conditions and 7-Amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-sulfonic acid coupling.

Properties and Applications
red. Soluble in water for product red, slightly soluble in ethanol peach pink, insoluble in other organic solvents. The strong sulfuric acid for blue, red to orange diluted to brown, and a red precipitate.
