Uses

2-Isobutyl-4-methylpyridine is one of the nitrogen derivative isolated from fig leaf absolute (Ficus carica L.) and prepared by the alkylation of the Li derivative of 2,4-Lutidine with Me2CHBr. Also it has a tobacco-like, green, herb odor.
