Uses
2-Amino-5-methyl-5,6-dihydro-1,3-benzothiazol-7(4H)-one is used as a reactant in the preparation of thiazolylbenzenesulfonamides and analogs by coupling thiazolamines with benzensulfonyl chlorides as 11-β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 inhibitors for treatment of diabetes and related diseases.
