Purification Methods

Purify the salt by dissolving it in the minimum volume of H2O (filter) and adding EtOH until separation of solid is complete. A solution is stable in the pH range 2.5-8. It has UV with max at 260nm (log  3.95) in H2O. The Ba salt has [] D +80o (c 0.57, H2O) [Woodward et al.
