Uses
It may find use in artificial Mint oils, but its use should not be confined to such limited areas, since it gives interesting effects with Lavender, Pine Needle, etc. in low-cost household product fragrances, etc.
Preparation
By chlorination of Tetrahydrofuran (an industrially available chemical) followed by Grignard reaction with Ethyl magnesium bromide. It can also be prepared from Furfural.
