5-[1-(Methylthio)ethyl]-2-trifluoromethylpyridine is an intermediate in the synthesis of Sulfoxaflor (S755005), a novel pesticide of the sulfoximine group and the only sulfoximine class of pesticide that act on the central nervous system.
