| Uses | Halowax 1099 is used for in vitro assay on human thyroid hormone receptor β agonist and antagonist effects of individual polychlorinated naphthalenes and Halowax mixtures. | | Definition | HALOWAX 1099 is a chlorinated naphthalene mixture containing 2% dichloro, 48% trichloro, 43% tetrachloro and 7% pentachloro derivatives. | | General Description | Chlorinated hydrocarbons with varying chlorine content, including chlorinated naphthalenes, ranging in viscosity from a low viscosity oil to hard microcrystalline waxes. | | Air & Water Reactions | Insoluble in water. | | Reactivity Profile | Halogenated aliphatic compounds, such as HALOWAX 1099, are moderately or very reactive.
