Definition | Aromatic hydrocarbons, C12-20 is a complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained from the distillation of biphenyl and naphthalene feedstocks. It consists predominantly of hydrocarbons having carbon numbers predominantly in the range of C12 through C20, such as alkylbenzenes, alkylnaphthalenes, indans, fluorenes, acenaphthalenes, phenanthrenes and anthracenes, and boiling in the range of approximately 282.degree.C to 427.degree.C (540.degree.F to 800.degree.F). |
