To view these protocols and other useful information about Prestige Antibodies and the HPA, visit . | | General Description | Monocyte differentiation antigen CD14 is located at 5q31.1 on the human chromosome. | | Biochem/physiol Actions | CD14 is a pattern recognition receptor which helps to enhance the immune response during infection. During infection, CD14 first sensitize the cell to lipopolysaccharide and other lipoproteins followed by delivering these lipidated products to various Toll-like receptor signaling complexes. After delivery, it induces proinflammatory signaling cascades by ligand binding and causes cellular immune responses. |
