Clinical UseAprinocarsen is a phosphorothioate antisense agent targeted against protein kinase Cα, a protein that is implicated in malignant transformation and proliferation. It showed activity in Phase I and Phase II clinical trials against nonsmall-cell lung cancer when used in combination with cisplatin or the combination of cisplatin and gemcitabine.
