It belongs to RING finger protein family. It consists of 13 exons with 65 kb of genome and is 78 kb centromeric to the GNE gene. This chromosomal segment is associated with various diseases, mainly with malignancy. It is a functional ubiquitin protein ligase (E3) and possesses role in p53 regulation. |
