| Description | A quaternary alkaloid present in the trunk bark of Aspidosperma spegazzinii, the
structure has been determined by methylation of the phenolic hydroxyl group
followed by thermal degradation which leads to the formation of the correspond_x0002_ing nor-base identical with Lochnerine (q.v.). Further confirmation is given by
