It is expressed in the biliary epithelial cells of normal human tissues and sera of liver disease patients. | | Biochem/physiol Actions | Golgi membrane protein 1 (GOLM1) is overexpressed in human lung adenocarcinoma and hepatocellular carcinoma. GOLM1 expression is also upregulated in tissue and urine samples of prostate cancer patients. Thus, this protein can be used as a potential biomarker of prostate cancer. |
