Glycerine application

 Glycerin is an important basic organic raw material, which is widely used in industry, medicine and daily life. At present, it has more than 1700 kinds of USES, mainly used in medicine, cosmetics, alkyd resin, tobacco, food, acid resin, cellulosic and explosive, textile and dyeing and so on.

   At present, the proportion of alkyd resin, acrylic resin, vinyl resin and epoxy resin used in the world coating is the largest, among which alkyd resin coating occupies the first place in the United States and Japan.The glycerol content in polyols used in alkyd resins is 42%.Glycerin is easy to digest and non-toxic, can be used as a solvent, hygroscopic agent and color carrier in the food industry.In flavoured and coloured foods, glycerine is sticky and helps to shape the food.In the rapid freezing of food, glycerin can be used as a heat transfer medium directly connected with food.Glycerin is also a lubricant for food processing and packaging machinery.In addition, the use of polyglycerin and polyglycerin and polyglycerides in the manufacture of crunchy foods and margarines is increasing year by year.Glycerin is used as a wetting agent in tobacco (mainly cigars) to keep the tobacco moist, prevent embrittlement, and increase its sweetness.Used as a plasticizer in cigar paper and filter paper in the form of glycerin triacetate.Glycerin triacetate accounts for one third of the total glycerin consumption in the tobacco industry.
