Caprylyl salicylic acid is a derivative of salicylic acid and is fat-soluble. Caprylyl salicylic acid is used as a skin conditioner, spot remover and preservative in cosmetics. It is a derivative of salicylic acid with a lipid chain. Compared with salicylic acid and ordinary AHA and other keratin dissolving components, it can penetrate into the stratum corneum and loosen the joints of cells one by one, thereby exerting a more effective micro-exfoliation. The effect makes the skin more delicate and smooth, and blemishes are obviously improved.

Caprylyl salicylic acid is an exfoliating, anti-inflammatory and anti-infective drug. It is used to treat the appearance of dry damaged skin, reduce dry patches/flaking, and restore skin flexibility.
