Functions: 

Copper peptide GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine. The tripeptide has strong affinity for copper(II) and was first isolated from human plasma. 

It can be found also in saliva and urine. Several copper(II)-peptide complexes occur naturally.

In human plasma, the level of GHK-Cu is about 200 ng/ml at age 20. By the age of 60, the level drops 

to 80 ng/ml. 

In humans, GHK-Cu is proposed to promote wound healing, attraction of immune cells, antioxidant and 

anti-inflammatory effects, stimulation of collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis in skin fibroblasts and promotion of blood vessels growth. Recent studies revealed its ability to modulate expression of a large number of human genes, generally reversing gene expression to a healthier state. Synthetic GHK-Cu is used in cosmetics as a reparative and anti-aging ingredient.

Blue copper peptide has powerful anti-wrinkle, anti-aging and repair ability: 

it can improve skin elasticity, smooth wrinkles and promote cell synthesis of collagen and elastin; activate superoxide dismutase, accelerate the skin metabolism to eliminate free radicals, 

delay skin aging; promote the synthesis of important structural molecules in the epidermis, such as proteoglycans and polyglucosamine; promote the proliferation of epidermal cells to maintain the skin elasticity, and repair the skin barrier. It is used in serums and skin creams to slow down aging or reduce wrinkles, as well as in repair creams and sunscreen preparations to reduce inflammation and redness, etc. 

The recommended concentration of copper peptide in end products is 0.2%-1%.
