Griseofulvin is an antibiotics which is extracted from the cultivation of the fermented liquid of the Penicilli - um griseofulvum. Soluble in tetrachloroethane, soluble, slightly soluble in ethanol, very slightly soluble in water. Odourless or almost odourless, taste bitter, on the thermal stability.

1. Griseofulvin inhibits a variety of dermatophytes, including dermatophytes, dermatophytes and microsporidia. It is not effective against ringworm, Candida albicans and bacteria. It acts as an antibacterial agent and is effective against actively growing fungi. It is used for tinea capitis, tinea nail, tinea diadem, tinea pedis and tinea corporis caused by sensitive fungi.
