Products Description

White to light yellow flaky crystals, crystalline powders, or in granular form. Odorless or slightly smelly. Long term storage in the air can easily absorb moisture and oxidize, leading to discoloration. Relative density (d2025) 1.363. Melting point 270 ℃ (decomposition). Easy to dissolve in water (67.6g/100ml, 20 ℃), 5% saline solution (47.5g/100ml, room temperature), and 25% sugar solution (5lg/100ml, room temperature). Dissolve in propylene glycol (5.8g/100m1) and ethanol (0.3g/100m1). The pH value of a 1% aqueous solution is 7-8. It has a strong inhibitory effect on spoilage bacteria and mold, and has become the world's most important preservative due to its much lower toxicity compared to other preservatives. It can fully exert its anti-corrosion effect under acidic conditions, but its effect is very low in neutral conditions.
