Selank® is a synthetic analogue of the endogenous peptide taftcin with an original mechanism of neurospecific action on the central nervous system, binding to specific receptors on nerve cell membranes.

Influences the exchange of monoamines in the brain (hypothalamus, diencephalon, cortex) sensitizing structures and the activity of brain enzymes tyrosine and tryptophan hydroxylase.
