Trimecaine HCl Description:

Trimecaine HCl is an organic compound used as a local anesthetic and as an antiarrhythmic drug. White crystalline powder soluble in water and ethanol. It is the product Mesdicain, Mesocain, Mesokain and other products in the active ingredients.
A local anesthetic and cardial antiarrhythmic. It used in epidural postoperative analgesia after major urological procedures in combination with morphine.
 
[Alias] Trifecaine hydrochloride, Trimecaine Hydrochlortde, Mesidicaine Hydrochliride.

[Properties] for the white needle-like crystal or crystalline powder; odorless, bitter and numb. Soluble in water and hot ethanol, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in chloroform and so on.

[Role and use] for the amide type local anesthetic, anesthetic effect than procaine and lidocaine strong, play a role fast. Infiltration anesthesia and conduction anesthesia after l 1.5 minutes after the emergence of anesthesia, the role of a long time, can be maintained for about 3 hours, the wound around the analgesic effect can be maintained for 8-12 hours. For infiltration anesthesia, conduction anesthesia and epidural anesthesia.

Trimecaine HCl Application:

Trimecaine HCl has two main applications. The first is local anesthesia (local, osmotic, local mucosa and inhalation, spinal cord and Bier vein). In the mixture with , its concentration is 0.4 to 4%, and in some cases (for example, in dentistry). Another area is the prevention and treatment of arrhythmias in myocardial infarction and cardiac surgery.
