Myristoyl tripeptide-1 is a small peptide composed of three amino acids. The N-terminal of the peptide chain is blocked by Myr. Myristoyl tripeptide-1 can inhibit the transcription and translation of Matrix metalloproteinase 1 (MMP-1) gene and promote the production of type I procollagen.
