Transportan is an inhibitor peptide composed of multiple hydrophobic amino acids, with a sequence containing 27 amino acids, including 12 functional amino acids. It comes from the mastoid protein at the amino and carboxyl ends of neuropeptide galanin and is connected by lysine. Additionally, Transportan has the function of cell penetration and is used as a transmembrane penetrating peptide.
