The protein has a calculated MW of 50.5 kDa. The protein migrates as 55-60 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

杀伤细胞免疫球蛋白样受体2DL4(KIR2DL4)属于免疫球蛋白超家族,是NK细胞的抑制性受体。可溶性HLA-G与内体中的KIR2DL4结合,激活DNA-PKcs(DNA依赖性蛋白激酶,催化亚基)-AKT-NF-κB信号通路。KIR2DL4蛋白ITIM的刺激导致非受体蛋白磷酸酶Src同源2结构域酪氨酸磷酸酶(SHP)-1和SHP-2的募集和激活,并随后抑制人NK细胞中的CD16/FcγRIIIa信号通路。
