Solvent-free silicone release agent from Daken Chemical Limited
Release time: 2024-07-10
What is silicone release agent?
Release agent, also known as anti-adhesive agent, is used between the substrate and the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. Its main function is to protect the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer coated on the substrate to prevent the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer from being contaminated or sticking to other objects and becoming ineffective. Whether it is labels, baking paper, self-adhesive envelopes, or sanitary products, release coatings are the undoubted behind-the-scenes heroes of the entire paper industry. Without release coatings, many daily applications involving pressure-sensitive adhesives would not exist.
Silicone materials are used for industrial demoulding. They have multiple functions such as high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, aging resistance, lubrication, and anti-adhesion. They are mainly suitable for anti-adhesion and demoulding of plastic and rubber products. The resulting products are smooth and shiny, and are easy to release from the mold. The coated release layer accounts for a small proportion of the total weight of the self-adhesive label, but it directly affects the use of the entire label.
Silicone release agents are widely used in modern industrial production. Their main function is to prevent materials from being attached to the mold surface, thereby facilitating the removal of products. Traditional silicone release agents mainly use organic solvents as carriers. However, with the increasing attention paid to environmental pollution and workers' health, solvent-free silicone release agents have gradually become the focus of research and development of major companies.
The superior performance of silicone release coatings and agents
Silicone materials are used in industrial demoulding. They have many functions such as high temperature resistance, low temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, aging resistance, lubrication, and anti-sticking. They are mainly suitable for anti-sticking and demoulding of plastic and rubber products. The resulting products are smooth and glossy, and easy to release from the mold. The coated release layer accounts for a small proportion of the total weight of the self-adhesive label, but it directly affects the use of the entire label.
Problems with traditional silicone release agents
A. Using organic solvents as carriers may cause volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emissions, which are harmful to the environment and workers' health.
B. After the solvent evaporates, the effect of the silicone release agent may decrease, reducing the quality of the product
C. The silicone release agent remains on the surface of the product, affecting downstream production and processing.
Why choose solvent-free silicone release agents?
Based on the concept of environmental protection and the requirements of sustainable development, the research on solvent-free silicone release agents has attracted much attention. Solvent-free silicone release agents prepared using new technologies can significantly improve product performance and environmental protection.
Advantages of solvent-free silicone release agents
1. Environmental advantages
Solvent-free silicone release agents do not contain organic solvents, have no VOCs emissions, and reduce pollution to the environment. Solvent-free silicone release agents can reduce the harm to workers' health during the production process and improve the safety of production sites
2. Product performance advantages
Solvent-free silicone release agents do not contain volatile substances, are not easy to volatilize, have good stability, and can improve the surface finish of products
Applications of solvent-free silicone release agents:
Automobile manufacturing industry: Solvent-free silicone release agents are widely used in the automotive manufacturing industry and can be used for the rational treatment of automotive interior parts, shells, etc. to improve the quality and appearance of automotive products.
Electronic and electrical industry
Solvent-free silicone release agents are also of great significance to the electronic and electrical industry. They can be used in semiconductor manufacturing, circuit board rational treatment and other fields to improve product performance and stability.
Medical device industry: Medical device manufacturing requires high-quality surface treatment technology. Solvent-free silicone release agents can improve the surface finish and hygienic safety of Baoheng medical device products
Coatings: Solvent-free silicone release agents can significantly improve the coating's coating properties, enhance its adhesion and healthy scratch performance, and prevent pollution and corrosion on the coating surface, thereby protecting the coating's color and appearance
Ink: Solvent-free silicone release agents can improve the printing and ink-out performance of inks, reduce the friction between inks and paper, thereby avoiding static electricity and smoke. In addition, they can also reduce the viscosity and surface tension of inks, and enhance their color and brightness
Solvent-free silicone release agents are environmentally friendly and efficient star release agents with broad application prospects. With the increasing attention to the environment and workers' health, solvent-free silicone release agents will surely become a future development trend, providing better solutions for the production of various industries.
