General Procedure for Reductive Amination of Carbonyls - NMR Quantification
General procedure: A carbonyl compound (0.2 mmol), 1,3,5-trimethoxybenzene (0.1 mmol, internal standard) andIr1 (2 μmol, 1 molpercent) were added to a 1.5-dram vial equipped with a magnetic stir bar inCD3OD (0.5 mL). Solid HCOONH4 (2 mmol, 10 equiv.) was added to the vial and the solutionwas stirred at 37 °C for 15 h. The crude reaction mixture was analyzed by 1H NMR spectroscopyusing 1,3,5-trimethoxybenzene as an internal standard (IS) for peak integrations. Each reactionwas performed in triplicate and the average yield was calculated.
