(2,6-Difluorophenyl)-cyclopropanecarboxylic acid STR26 A suspension of 17.9 g (100 mmol) of 1-(2,6-difluorophenyl)-cyclopropylnitrile in a mixture of 60 ml of ice water and 40 ml of concentrated sulfuric acid was refluxed for 4 hours. The mixture was cooled to 25° C., after which the resulting precipitate was separated off, washed with water and dried. Yield=89%; mp.: 150°-153° C.; colorless crystals.
