Steps:
1.1 Step (1) : Compound la → Compound lb
Compound la (14.53 g, 74.8 mmol) was dissolved into dichloromethane (150 mL) , and thereto was then added dropwise boron tribromide (50g, 200 mmol) at 0°C . The mixture was stirred at rt for 1 hour. The reaction mixture was diluted with ice water, and evaporated. The precipitated solid was then collected by filtration, and washed with water. In this way, compound lb was yielded (11.2g, 90%) . 1H-NMR (DMSO-D6) δ: 10.18 (1H, s), 9.66 (1H, s), 7.06 (1H, s), 6.92 (1H, s) , 5.16 (2H, s) .
