Stage #2: with water in 1,2-dichloro-ethane;Cooling with ice;

General Procedure I-TAlCl₃(2.1 g, 15.8 mmol) was added to a solution of compound I-IIId (2.5 g, 13.1 mmol) in 1,2-dichloroethane (30 mL), the reaction mixture was stirred at reflux overnight. After being cooled to room temperature, the mixture was poured into 50 mL of ice/water. The organic layer was separated, washed with brine (20 mL), dried over sodium sulfate, and concentrated to give the crude product, which was purified by column chromatography to afford of compound I-IIIe (1.0 g, yield: 43.5%).
